Axomi - The First English-Assamese Dictionary App
Axomi is the first-ever English-Assamese Dictionary app, developed by Manabendra Gogoi. It is designed for Android platforms and is completely free to download. The app is a contribution to the Assamese community, which has been waiting for a dictionary app for the Assamese language. The app is a simple and easy-to-use English-Assamese and Assamese-English dictionary. The database used in the app is provided by xobdo.org and can be used offline.
The app has two tabs, one for English to Assamese and the other for Assamese to English. In the Assamese to English tab, users can type in English using Roman transliteration or Assamese Unicode. The app also includes a Phonetic Chart to help users understand Roman transliteration. To type in Assamese, users need to have an Assamese Keyboard installed on their device. Once the word is typed, users can click search and select the word from the list displayed. Axomi is a great tool for anyone who wants to learn or improve their knowledge of the Assamese language.
